Pillayar Nonbu is a unique festival that is celebrated by the Nattukottai Nagarathars of Chettinad.
The Nagarathars worship Lord Pillayar, also known as Ganesha, and observe fasting, known as Nonbu or நோன்பு in Tamil, during this festival.
This festival is an annual event celebrated in the month of December, on the 21st day after the deepam, the sacred fire, is lit in the Tamil month of Karthigai at the Thiruvannamalai Hills in Tamil Nadu, India.
